Civil engineering master’s student Ryan Holmes has been selected by the American Coal Ash Association Education Foundation (ASAAEF) to receive the John Faber Scholarship. The ASAAEF scholarship selection process is competitive with a rigorous review of applications from students nationwide by the selection committee. Our congratulations to Ryan as the top finalist for this prestigious award which includes an invitation to attend the ASAA’s workshop, Current Issues in Ponded CCPs, in Tampa, FL on February 3 and 4. We believe that Ryan is the first UMKC recipient for this award. Dr. Megan Hart is Ryan’s primary faculty advisor and Dr. John Kevern is his co-advisor. Way to go, Ryan!
